...after I have selected the fonts and their sizes for my desktop, I find that when switching "themes", the fonts in the tray become very small when using the "snowlinux-metal-theme", but return to selected sizes for ALL other themes. Is there a fixed setting for tray fonts in the "metal" theme ?

Looks great in live session, so I tried an install. Progress stopped at "calculating file indexes", with no progress after 30 minutes !! What could cause that lock-up ?? I would sure like to run it from my hard-drive. I'm in Canada, using English on my computer.
Thank you both.

I have been desperately searching for a non vanilla distro that's not GNOME 3. I hate GNOME 3. I have finally found the one I'm looking for. Thank you.
Nice!

Hello linuxnut69!

we want to offer an user-friendly distro with the traditional desktop.

Hallo crunchbanger!

Hello Nikola!
Thank you for your praise. These bugs will be fixed in stable release.

Greetings,
Lars
Deutsches Debian?

how is this different

Just wondering how snowlinux is different from any other distro. what is it based off of ? why not more drivers included ?
intel wifi

Nikola
I give it a spin form the live CD:

Banshee crashes on start, sound settings display error and i have problem loading my iwlwifi driver.

Is it possible to include some extra wifi drivers for intel and older broadcom chips and maybe video drivers too?

Anyway I like the distro so far, keep up the good work.
